Collection: Lure Design Service
From concept to prototype to production—fast, affordable, and secure.
I can help with any phase of lure development, whether you have a rough sketch, a 3D model, or just an idea. Using a unique resin-based process I've developed, I can put a working prototype in your hands within days—then quickly move to small production runs of 10–100 blanks or fully finished lures.
Why work with me:
- Faster and more affordable than overseas mold cutting
- Your idea stays secure in my Michigan workshop
- Real-world testing on Saginaw Bay, Lake Michigan, and in my own pond
- Guidance on patent strategy and production planning
What I offer:
- Concept refinement and 3D design
- Rapid prototyping with resin molding
- Lure pressure and tension testing
- Small-batch production (painted and finished)
- Overseas production consulting (I've done it twice)
My workshop includes: 3D design software, 3D printers, resin processing equipment, vinyl cutters, full painting and clear-coating systems, lure testing rigs, underwater cameras, and video-editing tools. I'm also developing an indoor test tank for controlled winter testing.
About me:
I'm a retired mechanical engineer (MTU) with 18 years in automotive manufacturing and 10 years in R&D. I hold more than 10 patents—mostly marine-related—and have designed, tested, and brought to market over 25 unique lures, many available on this site. I grew up trolling Lake Michigan and have been creating better ways to catch fish ever since I was able to pull start the Merc on our 12fter.
Ready to bring your lure idea to life?
Send me an email or give me a call—I'd be happy to discuss your project.
