UltraMegaGlow: The High-Density Pigment Authority

UltraMega Glow is a Fisher Tackle exclusive, born from 20 years of testing on pigments and layup methods. Unlike mass-market imports, these spoons utilize a high Pigment-to-Volume Concentration (PVC) applied via a proprietary carrier spray. This process creates a distinctively rough, "sandy" satin finish—a physical hallmark of it's high-density glow load.  My coating has so much pigment added to the carrier spray that when dry, the spoon faces are actually a bit rough/sandy! It gives them a cool satin look, but this is why I don't offer taped colors of most UltraMegas- they are just too rough to hold tape well.  By prioritizing glow brightness and duration over a smooth finish, UltraMega Glow maintains a peak underwater visibility curve that lasts up to 2x longer than the top competitor and 3-4X longer than standard "Extreme/Super Glow" lures. Every spoon is Made in the USA to ensure the pigment grade and particle size meet quality standards.

Some ask, 'why the name ULTRAMEGA?  Isn't that kinda silly hype?'  The name came from Soundgarden’s first album, Ultramega OK, but was transmogrified by my four- and six-year-old sons running around growling "UltraMega this" and "UltraMega that" in their best Optimus Prime voices.  Had to use it.

Super Glow:

Fisher Tackle SuperGlow spoons use blanks purchased pre-painted from a USA vendor — the same blanks many spoon painters use. Performance is typical of the category: roughly 15 min of bright glow, a 2hr "working" glow, and detectable-but-very dim overnight. That's because most "SuperGlow" products use standard strontium aluminate at a low concentration for spray-ability— they can technically glow for hours, but brightness drops off heavily after about 20 minutes. I do add high-glow accents to most of my patterns (strips, eyes, or dots) to squeeze out a bit more punch.
