Tripping Planer Board Idea

Ever watch someone else bring your idea to market? Yeah so this one ticks me off...been poking along with this idea for 20yrs.  A planer that releases...stops planing and falls back...when a fish strikes.  Easy to clear the other lines and bring a fish thru (behind) the other boards. 

Finally put some time into it and had 'working' proto's for about 3 seasons.  Was working on adjustability and repeatability last season.  Had a few glitches.  Needed some polishing then was going to patent and maybe try to sell the idea.  Didn't settle down and finish it.😠  Too many other ideas...lures to paint....website to tweak...etc.  Well, a guy in Wisconsin (or Minnesota?) came up with and patented a similar idea.  And it's sharp and well done.  I think it's available for sale too.  I'll link his info here if I see it again. 

Anybody wants to help me develop a similar planer with different IP, let me know.😁

Other ideas that I've sat on and now are available this year:  Removable Adjustable Lead (Slide) Divers and Ice fishing hole chamfering device.  Hats off to those guys...
